Artificial photosynthesis mimics the process of photosynthesis by harvesting chemical bonds from solar energy. Using energy from the sun, it turns water into hydrogen, which reacts with carbon dioxide to make a usable energy. This technology is more efficient than solar panels and could potentially quadruple the amount of solar energy that we collect, as well as counteract carbon emissions.
